Yes! With 3/4 of the deck covered under the tiki top, the boat has plenty of shade.

We will be cruising in the Currituck Sound, known for its beautiful coastline and very little boat traffic!

Yes! Nor’Banks provides clean and comfortable life vests for your entire party should you choose to wear one. We have plenty of children’s life vests in less than 30 lbs., 30-50 lbs. and 50-90 lbs. sizes. Life vests are recommended for small children.

Yes! You may use your own life vest as long as it is Coast Guard approved.

Well-behaved dogs can join private tours, only if they are comfortable on boats. Please note that we do not provide pet life vests and we do not have a pet boarding ladder. Pet owners are responsible for damage caused by scratching and chewing. No dogs allowed on group charters.

Yes! You will have a captain and crew.

Calypso is certified by the U.S. Coast Guard for up to 32 passengers in addition to the captain and crew. This is a strict legal limit, regardless of the size of the passengers. Infants and small children still count towards the maximum of 32.

On private charters and family group charters you will have the option to stop and swim! There are a few great little secret spots to anchor and enjoy the water and the scenery. 

Yes! You are welcome to bring drinks and food.

Yes! We’re currently applying for our liquor license. Until we receive it, you are welcome to bring beer, wine and seltzers.

We require 72 hours notice for a full refund. No refund will be issued within 72 hours unless inclement weather prevents your trip. Cloudy skies are not grounds for weather cancellation.

Yes! Two and three-hour charters are our most popular. If you would like to book longer or have any questions about how much time would be best for your group, please call us at 252-261-2900.

Yes, they do. The United States Coast Guard considers every person, except for the Captain and crew member toward the 32 passenger limit.

We highly recommend arriving 30 minutes before your cruise is scheduled to depart. If you’re running late, please contact us and let us know.

We can delay departure for late arrivals on private tours, but we may not be able to run past the scheduled end time. We will not typically be able to wait for late arrivals on shared charters, so please be sure to show up on time!

Spring and fall- layered clothing and a light jacket. Summer time- light clothes, shorts, sunglasses or a hat for the sun. We will ask you to leave your shoes at the dock.  Please apply spray-sunscreen on land before departure.

We have a marine head aboard. We encourage you to use the restroom prior to departure.

Yes, your crew works for tips!  As with other service industries, tips are discretionary based on your satisfaction with the service provided by your captain and crew. A customary tip is 18-25% of your charter or ticket.
